Por MYRNA KAHAN.- Desde septiembre 25 al 27 se celebra el primer Festival de Cine en Durham en Oshawa, con las producciones fílmicas más destacadas, El festival inicia su primera temporada con la recepción de gala , en colaboración del teatro Regent en el 50 King street , y Docville Wild West Movie Set.
Entrevistamos a Carlos Delgado, coordinador oficial y oficial de la oficina de Desarrollo y Turismo. ”Estamos trabajando día y noche para que este primer festival, se celebre por todo lo alto con el estreno de la película ”, THE MESSENGER” producido por uno de los nuestros, residente de Durham Joanne Jackson. El estreno se presenta en el legendario Regent Theatre, famoso por su arquitectura e historia construido en 1919 por el canadiense J. McNee Jeffrey.
Contamos con invitados especiales, expertos en la industria del cine y buenas películas para el disfrute de toda la familia. Entre las atracciones y actividades del festival el público podrá ser parte de la producción de una película en un día; creando una historia y las innovadora tecnología utilizada en el cine.

From September 25-27 celebrate the first Durham Region Film Festival connecting audiences with the riches of cinema. Learn the tricks and experience the magic of film, on-screen and behind the scenes at two exciting locations in Durham. The Film Commission Office and ReelWorld Film Festival programmers will bring the world of cinema and talented artists the Regent Theatre and Docville Wild West Movie Set.
LOCATIONS:
Regent Theatre – Designed by a famous Canadian and built in 1919, with beautiful classical-styled architecture, this theatre is a historic landmark in downtown Oshawa.
Docville Wild West Movie Set – A favourite of film production companies, this authentic old western town in Newcastle, (Clarington) includes a general store, jail, hotel, sheriff’s office, and saloon.

Catch the Sound: Discover how to create and apply sound effects to film in a workshop with foley master, Andy Malcolm (American Hustle, The Help, and Trainwreck).
Make a Movie on Your IPad: Enjoy a world premiere screening and workshop of a feature film on an iPad by Charles Dennis, Foo Dog Productions.
